Cindy Blackstock & Oshkimaadziig Camp

 

 

Cindy Blackstock, member of the Gitksan Nation and Executive Director for the First Nations Child and Family Caring Society, joins Indigenous Waves to discuss the court victory for First Nations children, the human rights complaint against the Canadian federal government on behalf of First Nations children, and the I am a Witness campaign.

 

In the second half of the show, members of the Oshkimaadziig camp  join Indigenous Waves to talk about the assertion of Anishinabek sovereignty, intertribal Nation-to-Nation agreements, and the camp they have set up at Coldwater, Ontario.
