Journey of Nishiyuu arrives in Ottawa – Chief Stanley George joins Indigenous Waves on the big day

The Quest of Wisjinichu-Nishiyuu, Quest For Unity or as it is also known, the Journey of Nishiyuu, brought several thousand people to Parliament Hill this past Monday, March 25, 2013 to meet and greet a group of walkers who started as 6 youth and a guide from Whapmagoostui Quebec back in January, and by the time they had reached Ottawa were close to 500. Indigenous Waves had the honor of speaking with Chief Stanley George.

Chief Stanley George is the elected Chief of the Whapmagoostui Band Council, and father to Stanley George Jr. one of the original 6 walkers.
