Update from Brenda Sayers of Hupacasath First Nation and Stuart Trew, Council of Canadians on the Canada-China FIPPA

This past June 5th to the 7th, the Hupacasath First Nation went to Federal court requesting a judicial review of the Canada China Foreign Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement, also known as FIPA or FIPPA

Brenda Sayers, elected spokesperson for Hupacasath returned to Indigenous Waves this past week with Stuart Trew, Trade Campaigner for The Council of Canadians  for an update on the Hupacasath First Nation’s growing campaign to spread awareness of the Canada China FIPA and the battle to protect Canada from what they say is an unconstitutional deal that will leave Canadian tax payers on the line for billions of dollars in secret tribunals.
