Update with Judy DaSilva from the Grassroots of Grassy Narrows

Judy Da Silva returned to Indigenous Waves this week to update on the issues that the Asabiinyashkosiwagong Nitam-Anishinaabeg, also known as Grassy Narrows continue to face due to Mercury poisoning in their waters. Judy Da Silva also discusses the Ontario Government’s Forest Management Plan, which infringes on traditional Grassy Narrows territory, and lacks consultation and free and prior informed consent.

Judy Da Silva is a mother, grandmother and grassroots activist from Grassy Narrows.
