RCMP vs John Levi

Elsipogtog War Chief John Levi returned to Indigenous Waves this week to discuss the charges he faced for protecting unceded Mi’kMaq territory from shale gas exploration by Texas based SWN Resources. War Chief Levi also updates us on what RCMP have been up to since SWN, along with mainstream media, has left Elsipogtog. SWN is set to return in 2015 for more shale gas exploration, but John Levi says “the RCMP is trying to use scare tactics..But we will not allow shale gas here”.
